Aloe Vera plants are of the Succulent family and are well known for their soothing qualities. The gel they hold in their leaves can be used to treat burns and sores, just use it straight from the plant. There are records of Aloe Vera being used for it's medicinal properties since the 16th Century BC. These chaps enjoy a lots of bright light but not too much direct sunshine, keep them warm, away from drafts and only water when the soil is very dry.
